For those who are unsure about how much they really want to ride or for those who want to talk someone into starting with a "gift riding school", we have a school lasting 5+1 classes - 500 kn and it needs to be done at a pace of at least 1 class weekly. Certified statement about taking responsibility gives you that free +1 riding class. For those more serious, we have a 2x14 classes, plus the class you get for the statement. The rule that applies for that school only is - if you manage to ride twice weekly during the first 15 classes, you get two classes as a gift, if you don't come at least once weekly, it's your own fault... or bad luck. :) therefore, a learning curve will be quite longer.
For purchasing 10 classes in advance, you get 10% off, and if you have a bunch of kids and they all ride at the same time, you get a 10% discount for every next child, and that means that your tenth childrides for free. :)
Who is Geronimo riding school meant for..?
… For everybody between the ages of 8 to 60, who think that riding in the almost laboratory conditions in the paddock is not enough and for those who love exploring the nature outside the paved paths.
Riding school for kids operating principle
This is riding school for kids and their parents. The kids learn to ride a horse and parents participate in holding the longe line and holding the smaller kids. The classes are individual in the beginning and held in the round pen (it’s an enclosed sandy terrain for riding). When a child becomes confident enough in the saddle and masters controlling the horse during the walk, it can ride without longe (a longe line is a long rope used to lead a horse). Participating in the riding enables the parents to spend some quality time with their kid. Riding must, above all, be fun. We do everything slowly and through play. Of course, I individually adjust the program to each child according to it’s abilities and progress at a pace that your child is fun and comfortable with, which is, besides learning to ride, the main characteristic of my riding school. We teach a cowboy riding style which differs from english riding style in so far as it’s safer for rider and more natural for a horse
At the beginning we ride bareback. I want kids to be in direct contact with a horse and to feel its movement. Exercises like hugging a horse, lying on it and turning around their axis contribute to relaxation. And all the while, a parent helps to hold a child. When a child becomes confident enough, it does all the exercises on it’s own. After that, we begin with riding in the saddle, learning to catch the balance and sense of security in the saddle, regular leg and back position. Initially, the child holds the saddle (only younger children) and then little by little lets the saddle and starts riding by holding only with the legs. Through various exercises the kids are progressing more slowly or quickly, depending on their age.
For the youngest age group, you can choose just leading on the horse.
