Kornati area

Spreading over a 220 km area, consisting of 89 islands, small islands and cliffs, has been a national park since 1980. The most important natural phenomenon of Kornati are the “crowns”, vertical cliffs facing the open sea. Exceptional natural beauty, remnants of the Illyrian and Byzantine era, as well as the examples of preserved tradition (building of a dry wall), are an invitation enough to visit the pearls of the Adriatic.

Paklenica National Park

A mountainous region cut through by the canyons of the creeks Mala and Velika Paklenica was declared a national park in 1949. The Manita cave and the climbing rock Aniæa kuk are its highlights. More than 150 hiking tracks and paths make this a paradise for nature lovers.

Plitvice Lakes National Park

The best known national park in Croatia, that has been wearing its title proudly since 1949, is the only natural phenomenon in Croatia that is on the UNESCO List of World Heritage (1979). It encompasses sixteen lakes situated between Mala Kapela and Plješivica. Plitvice’s Great Waterfall (78 metres) is the biggest Croatian waterfall. The richness of waterfalls and cascades, of flora and fauna and the well preserved forest offer you an extraordinary experience of nature.

Park of Nature Lake Vransko

The Lake Vransko is located between Šibenik and Zadar, and was declared a park of nature in 1999. What makes it special is that it is a karstic field filled with brackish water and a habitat for many bird species, which found shelter in the ornithological reserve. Besides bird watchers and fishermen, other people like bikers can also enjoy the lake since there are 50 km of bike tracks around the lake.
Skradin-Bribir
A picturesque place that you can reach the National Park Krka from is especially known to the yachtsmen for its marina. A nice waterfront and old town’s centre are very appealing to the visitor. Part of its over 6000 year-old history and tradition is preserved in the archaeological locality Bribirska glavica, 15 km from Skradin.

Zadar

A town that was the capital of Dalmatia for a long time captivates with its history and tradition, but new attractions as well. Its trademark is the church of St. Donat from the 9th century. Recently it has also become known for its “Sea organ”, which give an unimaginable pleasure of listening to the dance of the waves, and for “Salute to the Sun”, glass blocks that, through light effects, embellish the waterfront.

Trogir

One of the most beautiful Croatian towns, it also features on the UNESCO List of World Heritage. In its city walls time has stopped; it offers an atmosphere of a Mediterranean town, replete with history, tradition and important cultural events. Visit it during your exploration of Dalmatia – you will not be disappointed!

Split

“Dioclecian’s town”, for which its people say it is ‘the most beautiful town in the world and around’ owes its origin precisely to Dioclecian who built his palace here, the trademark of the town, 1700 years ago. Taking walks through the old part of the town, the waterfront, the Marjan Mountain and Baèvice beach will take your breath away!
